RAM required fro smart 1 3150 for 150 gateways VSX environment

Hi All , 

We are planning to upgrade to R80 from R 77 currently using checkpoint smart1 -3150 with 150+ gateways , currently we are using default RAM 64GB , please let me know if there is a valid documentation which suggests we should use atleast 128GB of RAM for optimal performance

Generally speaking R80+ management will require more RAM.

You can review the minimum requirements for R77.30 versus R80.10 and see that.

It may work without it but you will probably have better performance if you add more RAM.

The two docs I would refer to are:

• R77 Release Notes under Multi-Domain Security Management Requirements
  • This lists a minimum of 4GB
• R80.10 Release Notes under Open Server Hardware Requirements
  • This lists a minimum of 32GB

These are, of course, minimums.
