R80.40 Install JHF via Smart Dashboard

When I am installing a JHF on a R80.40 Gateway using Smart Dashboard, does it use CDT to perform this task? . I'm curious where if any logs are stored. I have not been able to locate log files.

Installation using the Smart Console is using different components than the CDT.

In order to analyze/debug, all these logs should be collected and for that purpose we created a simple script: $DEPCONDIR/bin/collect_logs.bash

It creates a tgz (Octo_Logs.tgz) with all logs like CPM, API, Deployment Controller, Repository Manager and more.

Very fine - that was truely needed as CDT has its documented log files, but no special logs are created when we use Smart Console Install HF feature. Only drawback ist that there is no documentation at all about $DEPCONDIR/bin/collect_logs.bash...
