R80.20 JHF Take 17 Installation Failure?

Is anyone else having issues installing the R80.20 JHF Take 17?  There appears to be a failure on the Hook script for the update to Endpoint Security Server.  Haven't had a chance to do anything in-depth on it yet but the JHF on this box is going from R80.20 JHF Take 10 to Take 17.  Thought I'd ask here for any gotchas first...

This is as far as it gets before rolling back:

The error is:

• Endpoint Security Management R80.20 R80_20_JUMBO_HF_MAIN - Failed on installation:
Internal error in a hook script: bin/hook_uepm_HOTFIX_R80_20_JUMBO_HF_MAIN. (Return Code: 42). Contact Check Point Technical Services for further assistance.

JHF Take 10 can't then be reapplied so this isn't a great 'fix'!

TIA

Hook error rings the bell. Haven't done R80.20 but in R80.10 I believe it was indication of sessions that have not been published/discarded. Check that.

Just did an update on a GW cluster from Take 10 to 17 and had no issues.

Hi

hook_uepm is a script running only when the Jumbo is onstalled on End Point machine.

Hence you won't see such error on GW.

Also the hook error mentioned above regarding open sessions is not the uepm hook but a pre-verification hook on management machines.

Seems like the best way to get to the bottom of things is just to approach support and add the logs from /opt/CPInstlog/

Thanks Boaz,

The quickest fix was to wipe the management server and rebuild it from scratch as even a migrate import wouldn't bring the database in to a newly-built management server.
