Migrating from 910 to 3600

I wondered what the best way to migrate the configuration from a 910 to a 3600 would be please.

Unfortunately there is no straight backup and restore for these devices as they are different platforms & versions.

Regarding the policy, is the 910 locally or centrally managed?

Chris is right...they are totally different platforms, so backup/restore would probably never work. How big is the config? You could try potentially get show configuration off the 910 and then see what you can paste into 3600, though some stuff would not copy over, due to different platform being used.

locally managed:

- make screenshots of your rulebase and objects on 910

- implement corresponding objects / rules on 3600

centrally managed:

- create new 3600 object with same IP as 910

- perform 3600 FTW and establish SIC

- replace 910 im all rules by 3600

- delete 910 object
