Mail alerts for unusual traffic

In order to prevent any data loss we would like to be alerted via smtp in case suspicious traffic volume is recognized by the system.

on the documentation it seems that the only alerts the system is able to create are the ones configurable in the smartview monitor in the threshold settings.

is it possible to setup this kind of alerting?

AFAIK there's no way to create this kind of alert, but you can analyze the data on SmartView.
