MDS Hotfix take R81.20 take 89

I'm looking to upgrade the standalone MDS, which is R81.20, to HFA take 89.

In the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Downloads, I see that package HFA is a BLINK for Multi-Domain Security Management.

In previous takes, which are in R81.10, the package is not as BLINK for MDS. Does anyone know the difference?

Blink packages contain the base version and the JHF.
They are typically used when upgrading from a prior version, not within the same version.
You should be able to use the standard, non-Blink CPUSE image to upgrade MDS to take 89: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/download/135161

To add on top of what Phoneboy said, I also always found when using blink images, it upgrades way faster than using regular ones.

There are still some old fashioned admins who dont like to use new things, if old ones are stable, reliable and proven to be working 😛

If there will be option to use non-blink images, I am one of those admins 🙂 I also noticed it is not so easy to find non-blink images for upgrade. But it is fine for JHF where you have everything in one table.

Kind regards,

Thanks. My understanding is that the Blink image is coming with base R81.20, along with hotfixes. Where I'm confused is that it is under the jumbo hotfix accumulator section 🙂
