Identity awareness - two options for AD assume single user

Hi Mates,

please can someone explain the difference about this two options. According the description they do the same?

1) SmartConsole: Gateway properties - Identity Awareness - AD Query - Assume that only one user is connected per computer

2) directly on the Gateway: pdp concilication adq_single_user enable

Thx,
Dave

AFAIK, they are the same indeed

Interesting, so when this is set via point 1 then in cli with "pdp conciliation adq_single_user stat" should show "enabled"?! This is not true in our environment. Both cluster members show "disabled" at R80.40 when activated via SmartManagement.

I assume you pushed policy after the change, right? What does the end result say?

Of course it's pushed. To be honest this option via SmartManagement is set since R77.30 - I found sk146835 while debugging IA issues so the cli command is new for me. So I don't think it is completely the same.

My guess is they achieve the same result, but do it using different mechanisms.
The "Assume only one user is connected" option has existed from the beginning of Identity Awareness and requires a policy install to take effect.
Identity Conciliation was added in R80.40 and the CLI option allows you to (presumably) change it on the fly without a policy install.
