Failed to Load Security Policy: Invalid argument after replace security gateways

Hello, everyone.

We recently upgraded the Security Gateway in the cluster. First, we reset the SIC with the old gateways, switched the interfaces from the old gateway to the new gateway, then created a new SIC with the new gateways. We did not delete the gateway objects in the SmartConsole, but kept the old ones because the ip addresses are the same.
Now we are facing the problem of installing policies on the new Security Gateways. Please advise how to solve this problem. What could we have missed with this update.

The error when installing the policies is as follows:
Installing Security Policy XXXX on all.all@XXXXXXXXX

Failed to Load Security Policy: Invalid argument
Failed to Load Security Policy: Invalid argument
Fetching Security Policy Failed

What version/JHF of management?
What version/JHF are the gateways on what hardware?
Are both the old and the new gateways on the same version/JHF level?

Hi,

could you share how you solved this issue? We are getting the same issue by our customer.

Thank you

Hello!
We had a problem with the licenses, after reattaching the license, the policy installation was successful.

The error you were getting is super generic, so its not always easy to tell or pinpoint the issue. I recall exact same error once with the customer and indeed it was the license. I still find that strange, because license was showing as valid. Anyway, as long as problem is fixed : - )
