Extending Disk Size in VMware on Gaia

Hello,

I have a Check Point Security Management Server (R81.20 + Take 53) on virtual environment (VMware) with one disk of 700 GB. I noticed that a portion of this disk is unused.

How can I increase disk up to its entire capacity (my idea is to increase the lv_log) ?

Thank you

You can boot into maintenance mode, run lvm_manager and see what you get when you try to extend that partition.

Through lvm_manager: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk95566
However, note that free space is used to store volume snapshots, which are required to perform any version upgrades.
