Certificate based S2S with non Checkpoint device

I'm looking to setup a site to site VPN to a non Checkpoint firewall but it must use a certificate not a PSK.

I can't find any details on how to do this with a non Checkpoint device?

My end is R81.20 and the 3rd party are asking me to generate a CSR and send it to them, but from what I have read this doesn't seem to be the way forward, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Any guidance gratefully accepted. Thanks.
