Central Deployment Tool (CDT) v1.9.4 - - <send_email

Hi,

having issues with the mail notification in CDT 1.94

There is no mail address in my deploymentplan.xml

There is my mail  me@my.company.com in the CentralDeploymentTool.xml

MDS-R8040 has mail notification server and address configured in GAIA CLISH

Q: How do I get rid of the -f CDT-Do_Not_Reply@checkpoint.com  .

Any ideas ? Thanks

Regards

Hi,

does it worked before?

i suggest to share the CDT logs for this execution via email and the "CentralDeploymentTool.xml" file so can we investigate the issue deeply with assistance of Gaia Team as well.

Thanks.

Hi

  Yes. You can use the below configuration (default is CDT-Do_Not_Reply@checkpoint.com):

MailNotificationSender

CDT-Do_Not_Reply@checkpoint.com

Email address of the notification sender.

Hi Boaz,
Can you confirm the exact line to be added in the xml file?

Originally I had this

<!--
MailNotification [optional] - A valid email address for receivin g completion and error notifications from CDT.
-->
<MailNotification SendTo="emailrecipient@domain.com"/>

I updated the settings to look like this

<!--
MailNotification [optional] - A valid email address for receivin g completion and error notifications from CDT.
-->
<MailNotification SendTo="emailrecipient@domain.com"/>
<MailNotification Sender="emailsender@domain.com"/>

This made no difference, the email was still being sent from Do_Not_Reply@checkpoint.com

I tried this (no space between MailNotification and Sender)

<!--
MailNotification [optional] - A valid email address for receivin g completion and error notifications from CDT.
-->
<MailNotification SendTo="emailrecipient@domain.com"/>
<MailNotificationSender="emailsender@domain.com"/>

This failed with an invalid settings message

Thanks

Hi Greg,

don't change the MailNotification attribute; it's stands for the "SendTo" parameter only.

in order to change the default mail sender add the following Debug Configuration to CentralDeploymentTool.xml:

<Debug MailNotificationSender="emailsender@domain.com"/>

it based on the Debug Configuration section in CDT Admin Guide:

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/CDT/Unified/Topics/Debug-Configuration.htm?tocpath=_____13
