CDT version 2

I am currently running on 81.10 using CDT version 1.9.2.

https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk111158

According to the SK article version 2 is available now. Has everyone upgraded to 2.0 or is it OK to stick on 1.9.2 for now?

Thanks

As the SK tells you, it is only missing some improvements listed here, mainly for you they are:

v2.0 03 Jun 2024
  • Allow CDT management commands when a non-default port is used.
  • Fix the problem with CDT basic mode introduced on 1.9.8
v1.9.8 31 Oct 2023
  • Support for a cluster installed in a Public Cloud or a Private Cloud.
  • New CLI parameter to run several different CDT sessions at the same time:
    • –session=<Name of Management Session> in the Expert mode syntax $CDTDIR/CentralDeploymentTool
    • session <Name of Management Session> in the Gaia Clish syntax set cdt candidates and start cdt
v1.9.7 13 Jun 2023
  • Improved cluster failover during upgrade.
  • CDT now installs Threat Prevention policy at the end of installation.
v1.9.6 16 Apr 2023
  • Performance improvement of candidate list generation on large databases.
  • Performance improvement of VRRP cluster handling.
  • General Code improvements and fixes.
v1.9.5 24 May 2022
  • Performance improvement - CDT does not split packages while transferring to the Security Gateways (saves the time of split & join).
  • Added the option to use a filter file in RMA backup
  • Transfer policy files to the Security Gateway before the upgrade.
  • General Code improvements and fixes.
v1.9.4 17 Jan 2022
  • General code improvements and fixes.
v1.9.3 4 Jul 2021
  • Added the ability to install CDT with CPUSE.
  • General code improvements and fixes.

So as long as you can live with that you need not upgrade...

Thank you for that. Sorry, where do you see that revision history on the SK?

I upgraded it now because of the changes in 1.9.7 as they look worthwhile.
