Round Table session with Maestro experts
Hello,
I need know if you can configure bridge between 2 SSMs within the same chassis
Yes, it is possible to have a bridge, or VS in bridge mode where it's two interfaces are traversing through port in SSM1 and SSM2
Hi @kobil,
That's an interesting question.
Is it better to use the same SSM with two ports or two different SSMˋs.
Are there performance differences here?
Regards
Heiko
No gain or loss by using 2 interfaces where 1 on each SSM or 2 on the same one, however a good use case is to have a cross SSM bond (bond where each slave resides in different SSM) and configure the bridge with VLANs on each side, this way if 1 SSM fails the other one will act as backup.
Its also possible to have 2 cross SSM bonds (one on each side) and accomplish this.
