R81.20 - Performance Tuning Tip - Maestro Autoscaling

Maestro offers with R81.20 a interesting performance features in the future:

The new Autoscaling feature in Maestro Hyper-scale lets you automatically allocate resources across security groups (based on your priorities), bringing cloud-like scale and agility to your prem-based security (for example, to accommodate peak traffic hours).

An example: If more performance is required in security group 2, an appliance can be automatically moved to this group after a definition.

Other clarification, Auto-clone is not supported with Mix and Match

MTR-71298 Maestro You must disable the SMO Image Cloning in the Security Group before you assign an appliance of a model that is different from models of other appliances already assigned in this Security Group.
Run this command in Gaia gClish:
set smo image auto-clone off

Just one clarification to your list, Maestro Auto-Scaling is not supported for use with a "mix and match" of different appliances in R81.20 as stated in sk148074: Known Limitations for Scalable Platforms (Maestro Appliances and Chassis):

PMTR-84368 Maestro It is not supported to configure Auto Scaling Settings if a Maestro Security Group contains different appliance models.
