Maestro Masters
Round Table session with Maestro experts
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has successfully clean installed an MHO from r80.20sp to r81.10sp with a USB-drive made from isomorphic?
We are having issues with BIOS not booting from USB. But we can't enter BIOS to change that, no F-key command works, at most we manage to stop the boot right before GAiA boot menu appears.
Any ideas?
BR,
David
Contact TAC to get this resolved !
Hi David,
Are you using isomorphic build 198?
Hi @Chris_Atkinson & @G_W_Albrecht,
Yes, we are using isomorphic build 198. We first thought it was because of USB 3.0 drives, ran out and bought some USB 2.0 (hard to find nowadays!) but same issue. Even with a DVD-drive.
We are reaching out to our SE's to hear what they have to say before we open a TAC case.
As a follow up to this.
Our SE got back to us with the explanation that in our case we wouldn't need to do a clean install via USB. While this is true, it would have made things much easier and quicker as there are 2-3 steps to get where we wanted (r81.10 JHF).
It seemed otherwise like we would have to contact TAC, first to actually get in to BIOS or BIOS Boot order. This would have been done with a BIOS password and TAC would have to reset the password afterwards.
It would have been great to allow a Boot order with USB first and then HDD like for gateways, if for some reason we can't get into GAiA anymore.
