Maestro Masters
Round Table session with Maestro experts
Hi all,
I have a monthly network Activity report currently being received via email recipients. I want to add a description to the report so when it is received via email the description appears in the body of the email received.
I set this up in reporting settings as below and I can see the text in SmartView preview page. However I do not see this added in the email attachment.
Is there a way to add description texts to the scheduled email reporting? I do not see any option for this when setting up the schedule.
I also want to remove from the network activity report source and destination names and leave just the IPs in the report.
I have tried using the "hide identities from the main edit page in SmartEvent but did not make any difference. Also tried on the edit (table settings and filter settings) pages of the sources and destination but cannot find this option.
Are any of these two possible?
Please see attached screenshots..
Regards,
Dayo,
I don't believe it is possible to add this text to the report.
Am curious what version/JHF this is since the report generation appears to use...older marketing slogans. 😉
Hide Identities refers to users via Identity Awareness.
It does not disable the name resolution on the source.
Where specifically are you trying to add the custom text in the report?
Essentially, the reports when generated are automatically emailed out to recipients. We would like to have the description bit in the body of the email being sent..as an example in the space shown in the current attached....(attached) - Similar to the way its showing in the reports in smartView

It is on R81.10 JHF take 139. Thanks for confirming the texts into the reports.
I'm assuming also this is the same for hiding firewall object host names appearing in the source and destination IPs field in the report?
I suspect the answer is no on just putting IPs in the reports (instead of names).
I would confirm with TAC.
Ok thanks. I'll await your feedback
To be clear, for 100% confirmation, open a TAC case: https://help.checkpoint.com
ok thank you.
