open server and virtual vm licensing
Are the open server license and VM licenses the same? So for example if I have a license for a manager or a gateway open server, could I use it in a virtual machine?

In general yes it will work but worth discussing the specific SKUs involved with your local account team / SE.

You can use Open Server licensing on VM.
However, there are certain VM-specific licenses that cannot be used on Open Server (e.g. CPSG-VSEC-VEN-BUN-*).
