So if i do install hotfix on say either the active or standby gateway since hotfixes usually require a reboot the traffic flowing through the one in which im installing the hotfix on should just traverse throught the other member cluster without any problems right? I will not be needing to put a request for a change period for this right?
Thanks and Regards.
Kb1,
if your cluster is running fine this should not a problem.
State synchronisation will let your connections active if failover occurs from one node to the other.

The usual workflow is:
1. install on standby member GW2 first
2. If needed, reboot standby member GW2 to complete install
3. Promote standby member GW2 to active member
4. GW1 is now new standby member; with GW2 now active member.
5. Install on current standby member GW1, reboot if needed.
6. See if you want to promote GW1 back to active member, or leave it as it is.
