cpsizeme - AST tool - xml?
Hi,
I was asked to run cpsizeme. V5.8. Without internet access, there is a possibility to create a local file.
This creates a package /var/log/tmp/cpsizeme_of_firewall_at_2024-07-02_10h44m09s_detailed.tar.gz
https://usercenter.checkpoint.com/ucapps/appliance-sizing-tool
But the AST tool expects a XML file.
But I could not find an xml file inside the package.
Any idea what I did wrong?
Best Regards

Search for this file
cpsizeme_of_<FWNAME>_at_2023-07-05_15h42m37s_summary.tar.gz

Hi
thanks. Inside the summary file is a xml file. (awkward)
After upload and calculating button, it ends up now with:
Failed to get products for this CPSizeMe file. Please try to refresh the page
Please contact Check Point’s Solution Center for sizing
Tried 2 different browser, no luck
Never mind
Thanks, Best Regards

Did you see any of the following messages you login into the system? How many hours did you pick to run? Why not latest 5.9 version? You can download it and install it ''offline''.
Check Point Performance Sizing Utility v3.3 is running... Check: /home/admin/cpsizeme -S
Check Point Performance Sizing Utility v3.3 is done!... Please run: /home/admin/cpsizeme -S
- We recommend not to run
cpsizeme
for more than 24 hours.

- Test did run 4h
- 5.8 Because the userportal link actually points to 5.8. ;
- Bash online update says: no update available. Has already reported to TAC and confirmed.
Thanks

Hi,
tried now several cpsizeme.xml files (different boxes).
However, the xml file is now accepted. But we get always the message: This is independent of the security requirement options.
Failed to get products for this CPSizeMe file. Please try to refresh the page.
Can anyone confirm that the AST page is working as expected? Or is this limited to CP employees?

Thanks,
B.R.

Just tested with XML from 1-2024 and one from 2023, works as expected and no errors.
