Important! R80 and R80.10
End Of Support around the corner (May 2021)
Currently in VSX the guests are 32bit processes. When I attended CPX in Chicago this year they were saying they thought VSX guest would be 64bit in R80.10. I am trying to verify this.
I have received confirmation from R&D that R80.10 will support 64-bit FWK.
"Virtual memory used" section of "fw ctl pstat" output on VSX is limited to 4014 MB
Hi,
is there any performance figures on how much it gives to change to 64bit regarding connections?
regards,
Magnus
It's not so much performance, but capacity of a given VS in terms of connections that can be supported due to previous 32-bit memory limitations.
That said, R80.10 overall has improved performance compared to R77.30, which might translate to better performance for a VS as well.
