For those of you who are active CheckMates members, you probably are aware of the "ranks" you are assigned based on your activity level.
On the previous platform, they were merely "Level X" and you could see a number of points assigned to you based on your activities.
On the current platform, there are no visible points and I had to come up with names for the different ranks.
What I originally came up with a year ago was the following, based on precious stones and metals:
- Ivory (Lowest tier after "new user" and some activity)
- Iron
- Nickel
- Copper
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Opal
- Jade
- Pearl
- Ruby
- Sapphire
- Emerald
- Diamond (Highest Level so far)
The above is for users who are active on the community (read messages, post messages/comments, kudo posts, etc).
There are separate ranking tiers (which won't change) for:
- Employees
- Users who only browse the site but have never posted
- Admins and Moderators (Role-based rank)
Now that we've been at this for a while, CPX 360 2020 is over, and there seems to be some confusion with the rank titles, it's probably time to revisit this topic.
I'm looking for community suggestions as to what to change the rank names to.
Note that I am not planning to change the ranking formulas, only the names assigned to them.
Specifically I'm looking for:
- Specific theme(s) to use for the rank names
- Actual rank names (need at least 15, possibly more)
I have my own idea here, which I am NOT going to share at this time as to not poison the well, so to speak 😁
There is no guarantee we will use any of these ideas, of course, but am looking forward to seeing your creative suggestions.
