SmartConsole Web UI showing GAiA login page

Hello,

I'm having a strange issue in the SmartConsole web UI. When I click on Logs and Events, it shows the GAiA login page. Any idea what could be causing this? This started happening after applying Jumbo Hotfix Take 53 and the R81.20 SmartConsole Build 651 hotfix.

This is a management server deployed in AWS on version R81.20 with Jumbo Hotfix Take 53.

Just wanted to give an update - after working with TAC, the support engineer found that for some unknown reason the SmartView apache conf file (/web/conf/extra/httpd2-smartview.conf) was blank. We copied the same conf file from a working management server I had in another region over to this management server and rebooted the web services which fixed the issue! Not sure how it got blanked out but I'm glad it's fixed now 🙂

Does it happen if you reboot it? Same issue if you use web smart console?

Hey @the_rock,

Yes, I tried rebooting it but the issue still persists. I also rebooted it again this morning but got the same results. This issue only affects the web SmartConsole; the desktop SmartConsole client functions properly.

I would contact TAC to check more.

Does it make any difference if you try private window, another browser?

Same behavior in private window. This is also the same experience for another employee on his machine.

Hey @Ofir_Calif,

When I try the SmartView web UI (with /smartview in the URL), it shows the GAiA login. When I login, it shows the GAiA console, not the SmartView console.

What happens if you login? Is that possible? Does it come back each time?

Does your user that you use to login full access? Are you allowed by the profile to see logs?

If I login, I am presented with the GAiA console. Yes, it comes back each time. My user has full admin privileges.

Ah, thats good to know. I recall having to replace that file once when new logging tabs would not load in smart console and then after cprestart, all worked.
