[SOLVED] Identity Agent - The Check Point Managed Asset Detection service is not responding

After installing Identity Agent MSI, light or full shows this message “The Check Point Managed Asset Detection service is not responding, please try again later or contact your system administrator” and Identity Agent don't start

note: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling all types of agents, with an administrator user, with a local user, and nothing worked on this machine for the installation. On others, the installation worked.

This MADService needs to be installed and running.
If it is not, the agent installation is not working.

Solution found:
Go to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Identity Agent on the machine where the Identity Agent is working. You can copy all the files to the folder on the machine that is not working, or just the MADService.exe.

Then, manually start the service via CMD in admin mode using the command:
sc start MADService

verify if is running

sc query MADService

If everything is correct, the agent will connect.

Afterward, log in with the user.

And you will be able to connect.

This is a workaroud - why did you not involve CP TAC to get the reason for the incomplete installation process ? People with the same issue but without a working installation to use for the workaround would profit much...
