Remote Access Location Awareness - DC Check

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a remote access VPN with location awareness enabled, using the DC Check feature. It seems to work perfectly, before the VPN is connected.

When the VPN connects (from a network without DC access), the endpoint is then able to connect to the Domain Controller, causing the VPN to disconnect. Is this normal behaviour? Am curious as to why this feature is available, as it seems like a catch 22.

Have I misconfigured it? I'm thinking it shouldn't be doing the DC check once the client is connected.

Hi,

I have the same problem?

Did you manage to resolve this?

This is sad that we see no replies to this topic

If you check the Remote Access VPN for Windows Guide (https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/RemoteAccessClients_forWindows_AdminGuide/Content/Topics-RA-VPN...) - it states the location is based on the availability of the DC on the client network, assuming the DC is accessible only from within the internal network (not externally or through the VPN tunnel).
