R81.20 Managament server installation on Openshift

Hi All,

Being new to OpenShift. We are trying to install R81.20 Mgmt server on OpenShift. Does anyone installed on Openshift?

When we give disk size as 2TB, the VM get stuck on boot and when we install with disk1 as 150GB and another disk as 2TB. How can we achieve a disk size as complete 2TB?

Regards

Ankur

Not seen anyone use Openshift before.
However, we do have an SK on it: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk184286
What parameters did you set for the VM (e.g. CPU-related, memory)?

Using LVM, you can add the second disk to vg_splat, so it's treated as a single volume.
Similar procedure to: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk95566

Hi @PhoneBoy ,

We tried following article - sk184286 but its not pulling the image.

We tried with 150GB OS disk and 2TB additional disk. We see 2TB unallocated in lvm_manager. When we try to expand it. We get error as shown in screenshot. We installed latest hotfix as well. We are running R81.20 for now.

We followed article sk180381 as well. The VM is deployed in same way it is told in article.

"its not pulling the image" what does this mean precisely?
The actual qcow2 files can be obtained from: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk158292

As to why lvm isn't working here, possible this will require a TAC case to investigate.

Hi @an_technical

From the SK, you may have better luck using the steps from the Security Gateway deployment section for creating the Data Volume starting with Step 5.  These steps are also walked through during this Under the Hood webinar > https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/16731/660395
