QoS default Rule

Hello Checkmates,

i have some simple questions regarding QoS.

 

Is this right?

QoS only kicks in if the corresponding line is fully utilized.

 

If i have configured the WAN Interface with the correct bandwidth values (reflecting the ISP values)

and only the default QoS policy is in place, does this have any effect?

Does this at least ensure that connections will get policed ("slowed down") if the line is full?
