Pin-point the black Hole
I've had a firewall in place for a few months now, it works great and as expected from server to server.
However, just about anything that it touches the internet it turns into a black hole and won't pass traffic. Therefore, as the system admin I can't run updates, windows activation, outbound connections. Its getting very frustrating
I have a blank windows VM with the following rule:
Source: host name of VM
Destination: ALL_internet
Service: any
Logging says everything is green however, I can't telnet to many ports, windows activation isn't working.
I wasn't the one who implemented the checkpoint server but I did Next hope test on Azure and the next hop is the internet.
any tracert will go to the checkpoint IP and die.
Any help and direction from the community would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Sounds like all you are missing is a Hide NAT to make sure that traffic knows how to get back to you?
