Network Feeds and VSX

Hi 

I have just created a network feed object and went to test that I had defined it correctly. When I tested it, I was shown only the non VSX gateways. this matches up with what is said in here...

"Note - The "Select gateway" menu does not show these VSX  Virtual Devices: Virtual Systems, Virtual Routers, Virtual Switches."

My question, are network feeds supported on VSX?, ie while we cannot select a VSX gatey to test the feed, if we install the policy it will work?

Yes, BUT...you need to add them so link ends with .txt in that case, so its showing list of IP addresses/subnets, so it can be parsed properly...hence why R81.20 is good to have so it can be tested beforehand.

Btw, installed jumbo 14 on R82 vsnext, network feeds still work fine.

Hi,

Following the limitation of the Network feed feature with VSX in R81.20, I was looking for the Generic Data Center feature instead, as it’s not listed in sk79700. But on sk167210 I don't see VSX in the product available for it, and I cannot find the information elsewhere.

Does someone know if the Generic Data Center feature is officially supported in VSX ?

I cant say if its officially supported, but will test in the lab to see if it works.

I tested both network feeds and generic data center features in R82 and worked fine. I cant say it is officially supported, but it works 100%.

Generic Data Center also supported on VSX.

In R81.20 external network feeds are not supported with VSX.
In R82, this limitation is lifted, as far as I am aware. At least, the admin guide no longer lists VSX as a limitation.
