Modifying VLAN-ID on existing vsx cluster

Hi ,

we have a existing running vsx cluster , we need to modify the existing vlan  say bond0.123 to vlan 321 like bond0.321 . How we can do this and what are the steps to be followed.

If its normal gateway firewall i understand we can delete the interface from cli and then reconfigure the new interface but in vsx what would be the steps.

Any guidance  is much appreciated.

Regards,

Abhi

No, you will have to remove the old interface and add another one, with a different VLAN tag. That, however, can be done in one push.

Do not forget to push policy after making changes.

On VSX, you manage VS topology from the SmartConsole. All interfaces can be updated there directly. Look into the admin guide for details

Thank You Val !

So does it means we can directly modify the vlan tag (eg from bond0.123 to bond0.321 ) in the topology section from smart console and save it .

No need to login to cluster firewall ?
