Management Server License

Hello ,

I am newbie in terms of licensing in managements server.

Some one told me that we need to install new management server if i want to use new license for management of 10 gateways  (on existing server there is a license to manage  5 gateways)

If i understand right there nothing wrong to apply  new license on my old management server and all gateways will work.

Can someone clarify it for me.

We don't want to waste unneeded resources\time for this.

Assuming we’re talking about Open Server or VM, you can install a new management license that supports more gateways and you're good to go.

Yes the management is VM .

I want to understand how the managements server works with licenses.

Lets say some one applied many different license to manage gateways (5/10 or 25)  how it know to use the right license or it uses the latest license that was applied?
