How to install Python environment on Gaia OS

Hello 

I want to set up a Python environment on Gaia and execute the contents of sk180923. However, when I ran "python3 import_export_package.py", I encountered the error message "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cpapi'".

To install cpapi, I need pip, but when I try to install pip, it says I don't have the necessary permissions and stops.

Is it not possible to complete sk180923 on Gaia?

It is very easy if you follow sk180923:

DL cp_mgmt_api_python_sdk-master

DL ExportImportPolicyPackage-master

Unzip and put both folders in /home/admin/

# export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:/home/admin/cp_mgmt_api_python_sdk-master/

You should never install software on a GAIA system through other means then CP Tools.

So don't use pip or rpm (only together with TAC under very special circumstances).

You may copy scripts to the gaia machine and run them but that's it.

The script should run without installing any modules.

If you follow the steps in sk180923, you can run import_export_package.py in Gaia OS.

We do not provide a full installation of Python in Gaia OS, only the bare minimum needed for our purposes.
pip is explicitly not supported.
