Gateway Upgrade

We have 2 security gateways configured as a cluster. Both are 7000 series configured as a active-standby. Before 3 month the standby gateway failed and unable to reboot, so we have processed RMA and today we have received a gateway. Now, we want to retrieve the gateway from the old backup. How can we do the recovery process and make it back to a cluster?

Just restore the same config, make sure jumbo matches, enable cluster from cpconfig and add it to dashboard. Its fairly straight forward process. if you need help, let us know.

@the_rock Thanks for the quick reply.

Can you elaborate more on the detail steps?

Its pretty much what I described ; - ). You just restore backup to new RMA-d appliance, make sure jumbo matches with other gw, add it to the cluster (make sure smart console config matches with other box), fetch topology, make sure clustering is enabled and once cluster is operational, install policy.

Note...cluster commads will NOT work without any policy.
