Error installation CP VPN E80.92

I can't install CP VPN E80.92 downloaded from https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solut...

with error in logs:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007054F. assembly interface: IAssemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, component: {97F81AF1-0E47-DC99-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}

I execute it with admin privilegies from cmd with command like 'msiexec /i "C:\Work\E80_92_CheckPointVPN.msi" /L*V C:\CP_VPN_install.log /qb! USERINSTALLMODE=5'

Full log attached to this post. Reinstallation redistributable packages of 2008, 2010, 2015/2017/2019 VC didn't resolve my issue

Problem resolved only after upgrade windows to build 1903 and after manually deletion (from rescue mode with command prompt) files %WINDIR%\system32\vsconfig.xml and %WINDIR%\system32\vsdatant.sys

AFAIK no official endpoint versions supports Windows 10 ver 1903 yet.

E80.92 works on 1903. Problem was in unfully automatically deletion previous version from standart installable MSI package. I think it was a bug in E80.70 released package

Hey Alibi,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Based on the logs attached, The error we've got is ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR (0x8007054f) while trying to install side by side component on the machine,

Microsoft component failed to install.
Assembly Error (sxs): Please look into Component Based Servicing Log located at %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log to get more diagnostic information.

Googling a bit shows that some other vendors have this problem and they are pointing to compatibility.

If you can please upload "cbs.log"  for further investigation.

Kim_Moberg is right, Windows 10 version 1903 is not supported with Endpoint E80.92. 

We are currently testing our new Endpoint, version E81.10 which will support the new Windows, version 1903.

E80.92 may not support 1903, but it works )

About installation: problem with library was in dll-file owner - SYSTEM, that I can't change to any other, so nobody can change file that installer would. After fixing problem with VC80.ATL I tried to install VPN-client, but it was unable to create network adapter (in device manager it appears like unloadable device with improper drivers). Deleting vsconfig.xml and vsdatant.sys resolve my problem with installation virtual interface. Before all of that I have installed E80.70

I needed to delete those two files because they also had "SYSTEM" as owner
