Duplicate node found for * feature at * operation
Hello,
I found in the firewall logs the following error messages:
Duplicate node found for arp feature at delete operation
Duplicate node found for vpn feature at show operation
Duplicate node found for router-options feature at show operation
Duplicate node found for arp feature at add operation
Duplicate node found for arp feature at delete operation
Duplicate node found for router-options feature at show operation
Duplicate node found for vpn feature at show operation
Does anyone know why or what action generated them? Thank you!

I would assume that these come from Advanced routing (RouteD - PIM, BGP...).

Could you share with us more information about the problem at hand please? For instance:
- What is the version of your firewall?
- Did you get the logs in question while you attempted to carry out a particular task (like running a script or using the mgmt api)? If so, did you encounter any errors at all?
- Do you have a screenshot of the relevant firewall logs?
- Are you trying to achieve something specific or is it more of a case of being curious about what the said logs mean?
Thanks.

Hmmm, if that is the case, and the gateway is R77.30, I guess we could find out by navigating to Menu >> Manage >> Network Objects >> More >> Refine by: Duplicates.
Unsure whether a similar functionality exists on R80.x as I struggle to find it. In my experience, duplicate objects sometimes have one copy unused so mgmt_cli show unused-objects might help.
Happy to hear a more straightforward way for R80.x versions.

In R80+ management to find duplicate objects, bring up the Objects Explorer window (from the Objects menu on the upper-left of the SmartConsole, or from the "bulleted list" icon directly above the objects list sidebar on the right, or just hit CNTRL-E), then in the upper-left of the resulting window click on "All" and change it to "Unused Objects".

Might be worth a TAC case.

The version is R77.30. There was no failure of functionality, just noticed the errors in the log files.
I found some duplicate IPs and eliminated them. I will check if the errors will appear again in the logs.

Greetings Diana.... Did you come to a conclusion on the root cause of these messages?
I'm seeing these on one of my firewalls and I'm also curious what they mean.
