ClusterXL – Should the standby member ever generate traffic with the VIP?

In a ClusterXL HA, does the standby member ever send traffic using the Virtual IP, or should only the active member use it?

In my lab it works as I described it.

I actually built brand new R82 cluster last week and it worked as you said. Honestly, I have no clue why the other R81.20 cluster did not, but I have had that cluster for some time now, though I used exact same number of interfaces for new cluster. I even compared each interface and it was configured EXACTLY with same topology.

Hey bro,

I know, apologies for confusion. @emmap is 100% correct, that sk she sent would be applicable, since it wuld all go through sync. I have no idea honestly why this was different in my R81.20 cluster.
