Clarification on “Check Point 6200P” Model

Hi all,

During a daily check to update some comments on the management, based on the model information, I noticed that on one cluster the output of show asset system reports the following:

• Model: Check Point 6200P

I was wondering what the “P” stands for, or if it’s just a visual bug.
Not a problem at all — just curiosity.

If you review the device by mac-addr in usercenter is it a "Plus" model?

These usually ship with the dual PSU, LOM, Memory upgrade and expansion slot NIC populated with SR transceivers

6200 Plus is a 6200 bundle with the spec / added accessories described above.

Hey bro,

@Chris_Atkinson is 100% correct. It stands for plus, though our SE told me technically, could be translated to plus / performance.

Back in the days before "Plus" there was briefly Turbo and HPP (High Performance Package).
