Checkpoint R76 Create FQDN Object
Hi
I am new to checkpoint and currently looking to add an access rule. The destination is api.xxxxxxxxx.com which resolves to multiple IP address. How can I create an object in the dashboard for this so that it can resolve the api.xxxxxxxxx.com.
I have seen "dynamic object" but it talks about making some changes on the cli also to add the resolved ip addresses?
I know in Cisco ASDM for the ASAs, you can create an object and change the Type to FQDN. Can I create the same on my version of the checkpoint?
Thankyou

You can but unfortunately for you not in R76 release. FQDN objects are supported from R80.10 onwards.
I guess dynamic objects + script is one choice if you expect frequent changes in IP resolution.

It's also worth noting that, unless this is the R76 SP release, R76 is End of Support.
R77.30 is also close to End of Support.
