Checkpoint Firewall Exceptional Error while Installing.

1.png2.png

Hi everyone,

When I try to install Checkpoint Firewall on my VMware Workstation, I get a message about an Exception error during the installation and it asks me to restart the VM without allowing me to go further ahead with the process. I have allocated a decent amount of specs to the VM and I have  assigned my VM with the guest OS as Linux and with the version being "Red Hat Enterprise 5 64 Bit" version.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The specs I have assigned for the VM are as follows,

Memory : 4GB.

Processor : 8.

Hard Disk (SCSI): 20GB.

USB : 2.0.

Network Adapter : Bridged.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Please do provide suggestions on how I can fix this bug and carry on with the installation.

Regards,Harein Jay

HDD should be at least 50 GB. If it still fails afterwards, make sure your ISO file is not corrupt. More details can be found in CP4B materials, for example here or here

Hey Val, thank you for the reply, I managed to expand my drive storage to 50GB and now it finally started working, Thank you for your help 👍. Apparently, if there is an exceptional message along with the term "Anaconda", it is most likely to be a hardware error of the device that would interrupt the functionalities of Gaia.

An error in CopyFile OS.write sounds like no disk space left for copying...

Yes, you are correct, the Storage that I have allocated for the VM was around 20gigs and it was not enough apparently. so when I add another 30 gigs to the storage, the installation ran completely fine without any exceptional messages.

regards, Hareinjay.
