Hi Team,
Standalone System GAIA 80.40 with latest hotfixes installed.
We are trying to setup a backup plan for customer and following is happening
FTP - Backup works both manual and automatic
SFTP - Backup Fails both manual & scheduled with message "failed to transfer package"
SCP(our preference) - Backup Fails both manual & scheduled with message "failed to transfer package". For this i have already added the host hba fingerprint of the server .
I went through /var/log/messages/ and can see
failed to copy. fallback. trying to copy without the path
Aug 19 15:08:42 2020 scgcp001 xpand[12660]: exiting fallback.
Aug 19 15:08:43 2020 scgcp001 xpand[12660]: BACKUP operation failed. Details: Failed to transfer the package to the remote server:
Any help is appreciated.
Change /etc/ssh/sshd_config like that and restart sshd:
# override default of no subsystems
#Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server
Subsystem sftp internal-sftp
Hi Hristo,
Thanks for replying, this is GAIA 80.40 and i believe this is already enabled
Although i had a look in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config and can see
Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server
already overridden
If you run SCP manually from the appliance, what do you see?
Hi Val,
It is not running manually as well,it says "fail to transfer package to server ip ".
You do not understand the question, apparently. I am not asking if manual backup fails. I am asking, did you try to transfer any file to the backup SCP server, from expert mode? That would be the first step to start troubleshooting your issue. Try sftp from the command line, see if any error pops up.
