Applications need to change common files used by Endpoint VPN

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if anybody can help me with this.
I have a customer asking why are some Apps, when installing, that need to do some modifications to Common files used by Checkpoint Endpoint Security VPN. Obviously this is not a problem but he is asking us for some clarifications about this. THe app in Question is LibreOffice

For example on the shared printscreen it says:
The following applications are using Files that are required for this installation.

What files could Endpoint Security VPN using that are needed for a installation?

Thank you all!

It could be anything, given every Windows application uses shared libraries.
Moreover, it could be something specific to the PC in question.
If this happens again, I recommend engaging the TAC so we can understand what is happening.

Presumably, there is some shared library that LibreOffice requires that is also in use by Endpoint Security VPN (for example, Visual C++ or .NET).

Hi PhoneBoy,

Thanks for the reply, the thing is that one time after an update on this Application, Endpoint Security just stopped working and wasn't able to do anything with it.
That's why the customer is asking about this and what could it be.

Regards,

Pedro Filipe
