Updatable objects not usable

Hi,

Found that there are many (not all) updatable objects are not usable. They have a black square icon, see below

When I tried to add them to any policies, it will throw me error, see below

I had a look into the SK, but looks like it's not related and doesnt solve this issue.

Also I had also tried a command to update manually but no luck

I'm running R81.20 take 119 for all SMS and GW

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Bill.

Hi all,

Just an quick update. Response from TAC asking me to delete those corrupted Updatable objects. Then run command unified_dl UPDATE ONLINE_SERVICES on SMS.

All good now

Thanks all.

Bill.

Did you test the steps mentioned in the sk like dynamic_objects -uo_show and

„In the $CPDIR/local.updatable_obj file, the value of the ":name ()" parameter in the new Updatable Object is empty.“

?

edit says. Yes in sk there is mentioned

VersionR80.40 (EOS), R81 (EOS), R81.10

but i usually don’t trust this

and now to something completely different - CCVS, CCAS, CCTE, CCCS, CCSM elite

found such file here instead /var/opt/CPsuite-R81.20/fw1/state/xxxx/FW1/local.updatable_obj

but couldnt find the required object there

I had that issue once on S1C and once I resarted the service from the settings menu, all worked fine.

Hello

did you try following this SK? https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk131852

I had a similar issue in the past, I'm looking in my documentation if I followed the same steps.

This SK looks solved most of the Updatable objects

But the two objects which I need still not fixed

I will try to give it another go

Possible this data is not in the source file we pull.
That might require TAC to investigate.

thats what I thought. but if I download the json file from the mentioned Microsoft link, Download Azure IP Ranges and Service Tags – Public Cloud from Official Microsoft Download Center , both Updatable objects appear in the json file, see below

will try to raise to TAC, thanks

I'm seeing this on an R82 Management Server with Jumbo HotFix Accumulator Take 60 and CRL hotfix (Take 11) installed.

Never had this issue before, and use Updatable Objects routinely. Updateable Objects that have already been imported look OK, but all the others have the black-square icon as above. Out of interest, do we know what the root cause of the problem is?

The Management Server was newly built using R82 in November and an export / import database was used to migrate from the previous R81.20 Firewall Manager installation. Last time we imported an Updateable Object was February this year and it was fine then - we were using Jumbo Hotfix 44 (without the CRL fix of course) at the time.
