Hello all,
I am a bit confused about the use of USB connectivity to 9100P.
The relevant software provided by CP has been donloaded and is installed. But no COM port at the system level. So, how to use it ?

What kind of cable are you using?
The one shipped with the appliance. But not sure it is related to the cable since no COM port appears in the sysem.
I see what you mean...not 100% sure then, maybe something BIOS related?
Is the PC locked down with particular controls / endpoint software etc?
I have tried 2 pc. One from the company with strong security layer. Another one with only AV. Same result. System -> Ports -> COM: empty.
The COM port should appear when you have the cable attached and the appliance powered on. If it doesn't, then there might be a hardware fault with the appliance.
The third one in 2 weeks. Problem is also that I am working with a remote staff that have not always the right knowedge.
USB ports are not for console access, they are for reimaging the appliance with a USB drive.
The console port is an RJ-45 connection using a rollover cable.

I am talking about usbc connector that is aimed to be used as console, at least this is what is stated in the getting started guide.
