SmartConsole Unknown Error (0x2ee2) and Gaia Login Stuck

Hello everyone,

I’m currently experiencing issues with the management server.

When attempting to log in to Check Point SmartConsole, I receive the following error:

“Unknown error (0x2ee2)”

Additionally, when trying to access Check Point Gaia via the web interface or SSH, the system asks for the username and password, but after entering the credentials it just keeps loading indefinitely and never completes the login.

If I restart the management services, access is restored for a few minutes, but the problem eventually returns.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions on what might be causing this?

Environment

Local Management Server

Version: Check Point R82

Jumbo Hotfix: Check_Point_R82_JHF_T60_TIME_FIX_655_MAIN_Bundle_T6_FULL

Any insights would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey @juniorlima

I personally had never experienced that. Maybe try latest jumbo install, see if it helps.

Hi the_rock,

We try updating and to R82 take 73 and it still giving the same error, Our management server is a virtual machine, and when we checked the virtual machine statistics, it showed as ON, but all the resources had dropped as if it were turned off.”

0x2ee2 looks error related to the network, so your client cannot access fwmgt or at least packets are lost. Are all systems affected that connect to fwmgt? What if you ping the system during the issue. Maybe tcpdumps / wiresharks could give a hint

That 'Jumbo Hotfix' you mention there is a patch that gets installed over the top of JHF take 60, you have installed the full JHF as well, yes?

What is the RAM/Disk/Core Count of the management server?

Hi juniorlima,

I'm currently experiencing the same issue, but it started with behavior where the management stopped sending information to the monitoring control. When we try to log in through SSH and enter the credentials, nothing happens, and when you press CTRL+C, it shows this error message:

"The 2FA configuration process was terminated, exiting."

I'm still working on this, but I have the same symptoms you mentioned before. It only resolves with a reboot, but eventually comes back.

Hello, I hope you’re all doing well.

It appears the issue was resolved after removing vMotion from the Management Server.

According to sk142733, VMware vMotion is not supported on the Security Management Server, which likely explains the behavior we were experiencing.
