Objects.C has mssing objects but in dbedit has object.

We want to migrate CheckPoint to another brand and i have problem about objects is mssing.
I migrate to other brand but it still need Objects.C file and we found objects.C not complete cause we verify with dbedit and found it in dbedit.

How can we update missing objects to objects.C file?

Sad to her that, you are leaving the brand. If you want to  export the object, you can do it in object explorer, than export them. You will find the menu.

I guess the objects file is needed because they will use a converter tool like FortiConverter which requires those files.

Is this the file you are referring to?

I would suggest using objects_5_0.C instead of objects.C

As far as i remember correctly:

objects_5_0.C - Stores the full object inventory.
objects.C gets compiled when distributing policies to the Firewall

That should also be the reason for the difference in size between the two. Here is one of our MDS:

-rw-rw---- 1 admin bin 14M Nov 1 18:14 objects.C
-rw-rw-r-- 1 admin bin 42M Jan 22 21:12 objects_5_0.C

The only thing that surprises me a bit in this case are the timestamps. I'll have to think about that.

I wonder why these tools still want to have an objects*.C. Since Check Point works with a full-fledged database, a correct export and then further processing is required, however the new manufacturer wants it or can import it.

Sorry for late reply.

Why is need object.C?

- Cause the converter is need only this file and no other way for convert cause it require only objects.C and objects_5_0.C.

I already check 2 file that objects_5_0.C and objects.C.
- objects_5_0.C is contain like FW attribute like config object FW.

- objects.C is contain Object on SMS.

Objects.C not contain missing object when we find with command and export file and lookfrom notepad++

but in dbedit we found that why is SmartConsole show object.

I'm not sure too why converter no other way and it require only objects_5_0.C, objects.C
