Geolocation deprecated?

I  logged into SmartConsole this morning and had 4 alerts.

All of my updateable objects concerning Geolocation and Geolocation itself

are listed as no longer supported. What is the new method for blocking ranges

of IP's by country if this is no longer supported. We have been basking in the

reduced spam and phishing attempts since implementing geolocation. Why take it away?

It's not. works in my lab.  Had you tested connectivity to updates.checkpoint.com?  See sk122636  for troubleshooting

I am not having issues with updates.checkpoint.com.

It is popping validation errors for geolocation objects only when I log in.

The message is: Object is no longer available.

Geolocation is no longer supported.Enforcing security for this object is not possible.

To dismiss this message delete the object.

Hi Tony_Graham, this is a known issue documented in sk164772 - Updatable objects appear as 'no longer supported'.

The solution is simple, just run these commands on the Security Management Server:

• cloudguard stop
• cloudguard start

I know that it's a concerning alert to get in the UI, but it's worth mentioning that the issue is cosmetic and does not affect the actual enforcement on the gateway.

What is the impact of running these commands? Can I do it at any time?

It should not cause an outage.
However, while restarting the CloudGuard Controller, you won't get updates for your Updatable Objects.
