Hi CheckMates Community,
we will see how to enable Resource Monitoring in a VSX Cluster or Gateway environment.
The goal is to monitor the memory, CPU usage across VSX instances in order to optimize system resources.
In HA environments, it is recommended to start the procedure from the standby node and reboot it first. After that, the feature functionality can be validated.
You can trigger a manual failover on the remaining node, or simply reboot it so that the failover occurs automatically.
The results can be verified using the command: fw vsx mstat, which displays the memory usage for each instance.
For more detailed information, you can use cpview. Under Advanced → VSX → VSs and Physical Resources, you will find additional metrics such as memory, disk, and CPU usage.
