Appliance LOM issues

I've spent a bit of time with 9100 Plus appliances recently, and with the latest LOM firmware (7.18.1) it is still problematic for console access. For example, at the login prompt you move your cursor away to find some information, click back in the LOM and it inserts a bunch of blank characters. When logged in to clish and you do the same it is also typing something as it comes up with the list of commands and -- More --. When logged in to bash/expert and repeating, it is again typing something as it shows (in my case)
Display all xxxx possibilities? (y or n). At other times you go away from the console for a few mins and after clicking back it is non-responsive for many minutes. Usually easier to close the console session and start another.

Any similar experiences? HPE iLO and Dell iDRAC just work.

I have seen this before but I have not had the opportunity to troubleshoot it. The behaviour is basically that of pressing tab once or twice.
