policy server status disabled after upgrade to R82

After upgrading a gateway cluster to R82 we had some problems with the Desktop Policy and the VPN clients.

RemoteAccess-Clients can connect successful but can't connect to anything behind the gateway. Some troubleshooting shows we can't install the "Desktop Policy" (install stucks) and the policy server isn't running on the gateway. Connection with "Check Point mobile client" without desktop policy are running fine.

cpstat -f all polsrv

Status Code: 0
Status Short Description: Disabled
Status Full Description: Policy Server is Disabled
Product name:
Major version: 0
Minor version: 0

We tried to disable and reenable the feature without success.

Any ideas whats going wrong ?

After a long running session with TAC we have found the cause......

Really simple but essential. We had to push the update button once for the desktop policy in the old SmartDashboard to "convert & save" the desktop policy to R82. After that we could install the desktop policy, the policy server is running and everything ist fine.
