Hello,
I needed PassDialog.exe to unlock the registry. Because Sophos isn't working on older Windows 10 Installations.
sk178308 - Endpoint E85.10 - Driver interferes with Sophos
You get the following instructions from TAC
- Go to "Add/ Remove Programs" and select the Endpoint client software.
- Right-click on it and select "Uninstall."
- When Passdialog box appears - Close it and do not enter the "Uninstall" password.
- Now, go to %temp% and search for passdialog
This does not always work!
The Uninstall process creates a "temporary" directory in %temp%. This directory is not accessible for normal users.
so the Instruction 4. is:
Look in %temp% for a directory {D...3-F..5-....-....-....59} (the Name will be a different UID every time) created at the same time you run uninstall. Enter that directory, the change permission request is acknowledged and in the directory you find the PassDialoge.exe for your Version of the Endpoint Client.
Regards
Peter
