Upgrading to Endpoint Security 84.30

Hi all,

Due to the end of life of old versions of the Endpoint Security VPN we upgraded to version 84.30. The upgrade process seems to go okay and the PC is rebooted. When our users connects with the VPN client it first seems good but after a few minutes the connection closes and it can't be reconnected. The client shows this error message: Connectivity with the Checkpoint Endpoint Security Service is lost.

when checking the service is really stopped. It can be started but only with admin permission.

How can we solve this issue?

Hello @ITLars ,

  1. What is the endpoint version used before the upgrade?
  2. What Operating systems are you using?
  3. Is your Endpoint Firewall blade configuration driven by your GW policy or Endpoint policy?

Please share your client logs with me - kobieb@checkpoint.com, so we could investigate it thoroughly.

Hi,

We had version E81.40 before upgrading. All PC's are Win 10 1909. Regarding the third question I have to check that and get back to you. Which log files do you want?
